Friends Author Series: Roland Trenary
Roland Trenary has gathered, sorted and analyzed the artwork of Mahlon Blaine for 40 years. He will discuss his book, “Mahlon Blaine – One-Eyed Visionary,” which was published in 2013 and republished earlier this year. Trenary, who has a degree in art and art history, has collected and scrutinized thousands of Blaine’s published and unpublished drawings and paintings, and interviewed more than two dozen of Blaine’s friends. Best known for his pen-and-ink drawings, Blaine had 2,000 drawings published between 1917 and 1967.
